Equine nutrition is incredibly important to Penwick. We understand that without proper nutrition that your equine partner cannot perform to his best. For young developing horses we feed to build a strong healthy body that will contribute to soundness for years to come.

Penwick feeds Pennfield feeds only. Pennfield is a widely respected, family-owned feed company in Pennsylvania that has been serving the Mid-Atlantic States since 1919. Known for using only the finest feed ingredients and precise manufacturing techniques, Pennfield has earned the trust of world-class trainers and competitors throughout the equine industry. They have also partnered with Kentucky Equine Research (KER) which is a world-renowned equine nutrition and consultation company. KER works with feed manufacturers around the world to develop horse feeds and supplements that are suited for the particular region in which they are to be fed. To learn more about Pennfield or KER and their products please visit, Pennfield.

Our feeding philosophy is that horses are grazing animals and should be eating forage for 8 hours a day minimum to maintain a healthy system. With that in mind we offer horses free choice hay while in their stalls or out on turnout. Penwick uses a variety of Pennfield products to meet the nutritional requirements of all its residents. Some of the feeds offered are: All-Phase as a vitamin and mineral balancer, Fibergized for 10% protein and 10% fat, Signature MB a 12% pellet and a pellet Senior feed. If your horse needs something we do not have we will be happy to get it in.

We will give supplements and oil to your horse as long as they are bagged or in SmartPak. Our barn buddy code for SmartPak is “Penwick”.
